Artist's Description
A reproduction of Vincent Van Gogh's oil, 'Coleus", in pastels. The original is a surprisingly small 8.5" x 16.5". I tired to keep this close to the same size as well. While nothing can compare to the original I enjoy trying emulate some of the old masters' styles and have the added bonus of having a colorful reproduction on my wall when finish.

I've been drawing since I could hold a crayon and I'm just now trying to get back into the swing of things after taking a nearly 30 year break. After being forced into an early "retirement" due to our economy I needed something to help calm me and keep me busy and in a positive frame of mind so I took this opportunity to get back into painting and drawing.
